Quality Assurance Assistant (AR-GAZ-012-23) Ghazni

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Assistant is a core staff of WFP Third Party Monitoring (TPM) Project to perform due diligence on data quality, analysis and reporting to ensure all projects at field level are implemented with required WFP humanitarian and Monitoring Standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the TPM Quality Assurance Officer, The Quality Assurance Assistant will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist the Quality Assurance Officer to develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols;
  • Review and validate field monitoring reports submitted by the field monitors and assure quality;
  • Follow-up with field monitors on the timely submission of reports and completeness of the reports;
  • Prepare reports and maintain records on quality assurance activities;
  • If and when needed, conduct field visits to improve quality assurance mechanisms;
  • Assist in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices of Monitoring Quality Assurance;
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Officer in reviewing the implementation and efficiency of quality inspection systems within field level;
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Officer to ensure data collected in the field is accurate, complete and relevant to intervention that comply with required WFP merits and standards;
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Officer to conduct due diligence in reviewing the field monitors data and reports with related stakeholders to ensure required compliance;
  • Assume any other tasks assigned by the Quality Assurance Officer.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor in Economics, Statistics, Management, Sociology, Civil Engineering, Development/Humanitarian Studies.
  • At least three years of progressively responsible experience in data management, project management, statistical analysis, report writing, M&E or closely related to Quality Assurance and Management.
  • Familiarity of Project context, environment, culture sensitivity.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Humanitarian Standards and awareness of gender and protection of vulnerable groups;
  • Strong analytical and inspection skills and ability to clearly synthesize and present findings;
  • Experience utilizing computer (MS Word, MS Excel, Typing, etc.) and smart phone including word processing and knowledge on remote data collection using Kobo, ODK, SPSS, etc;
  • Ability to speak fluently in both Afghanistan formal languages Pashto and Dari;
  • Command on English Language with professional expertise in data analysis and report writing.
