Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Field Officer is a core staff of Third Party Monitoring (TPM) Project to conduct field spot checks and due diligence on data quality, analysis and reporting to ensure all project’s field level activities are implemented with required WFP humanitarian and Monitoring Standards

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the TPM Project Manager, The Quality Assurance Field Officer will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct spot checks and surprise visits to ensure compliance with established WFP quality standards;
  • Prepare reports of spot checks and surprise visits and include recommendations for quality assurance improvement
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly spot checks plans in close coordination with Quality Assurance Officer and WFP M&E Team to ensure proactive travel plans to project sites at different provinces within clusters.
  • Meet project stakeholders including beneficiaries and community for social audit and compliance with timely report to TPM Project Manager.
  • Based on field visits propose process improvements and recommend changes to management to ensure quick fixes and bridge gaps.
  • Track and record all surprise visit data with picture, voice, interview and other possible data collection tools.
  • Ensures data collected is accurate, complete and relevant to intervention that comply with required WFP merits and standards.
  • Assume any other task assigned by TPM Project Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor (Preference will be given to Master Degree) in Economics, Statistics, Management, Sociology, Civil Engineering, Development/Humanitarian Studies.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in data management, project management, statistical analysis, report writing, M&E, of which at least one year was closely related to Quality Assurance and Management.
  • Able to travel to various provinces and work at least (75%) in the field
  • Familiarity of Project context, environment, communities and cultural sensitivity.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Humanitarian Standards and awareness of gender sensitivity and protection of vulnerable groups;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to clearly synthesize and present findings;
  • Experience utilizing computer (MS Word, MS Excel, Typing, etc.) and smart phone including word processing and knowledge on remote data collection using Kobo, ODK, MODA, etc;
  • Ability to speak fluently in both Afghanistan formal languages Pashto and Dari;
  • Command on English Language with professional expertise in data analysis and report writing.
